Arts: In and inspired by nature
Practising arts and creativity in and inspired by the outdoors can help well-being because it allows us to connect with nature and be in the present moment.
Being outside can reduce stress and anxiety and improve our mood, which in turn can help to boost creativity. The natural surroundings of the New Forest and the wider area can also provide inspiration and new ideas for artistic projects.
There is so much in the New Forest to take inspiration from, from the open landscapes to the ancient trees, from birdsong to intricate detail of insects, flowers and fungi, from the Forest’s trickling streams to the Solent coastline.
