PEDALL Inclusive Cycling

The New Forest National Park is a popular destination for cycling due to 100 miles of off-road cycle tracks, stunning scenery, and beautiful wildlife.

PEDALL provides guided rides and personal support using a wide range of specialist cycles, which offer different seating positions, have three or four wheels to increase stability, and use straps and harnesses to help support body weight to accommodate a range of needs.

As well as cycles to accommodate different needs PEDALL also offers confidence rides to help people get back on a 2 wheel bike and enjoy being outdoors and active. All of our rides are amongst nature on the off road cycle tracks and help riders and carers improve physical and mental health and tackle social isolation.

What should participants expect?

All riders and carers are initially asked to attend an Introductory Session where they are able to try the different cycles to discover which cycle works best for them. Once you have attended an Introductory Session you can book on to a guided ride and enjoy cycling through the New Forest. All rides are relaxed and fun with the opportunity to enjoy the fauna and flora of the New Forest – who knows what wildlife you will spot along the way! PEDALL rides all year, so you will experience all seasons, and weather in the New Forest.

Where does the activity take place?

PEDALL has 2 main places to cycle. Burley is our main base and this is where your Introductory Session will take place. We also ride at Ashurst, which has a mainline railway station and is on a bus route.

All rides take place on the off road cycle tracks in the New Forest amongst nature. You will be riding outside and weather conditions may change. You will ride using the PEDALL specialist cycles or 2 wheels bikes, or you can bring your own bike if you prefer. All rides are led by our qualified and experience Ride Leaders and supported by our volunteer team, rides are relaxed and fun in a safe off road environment.

When does it take place?

We ride all year and have rides most days including Saturdays. We publish all of our public rides on our website www.pedall.org.uk/book-a-ride/ For group or private sessions please email us to check availability at info@pedall.org.uk

Anyone and everyone can ride with PEDALL no matter what the challenge or barrier may be! If you want to ride we will be able to help you using one of our specialist cycles.
