New Forest National Park Authority
Our volunteering programme offers the opportunity to improve woodland, heathland and grassland habitats, maintain and survey our rights of way network and restore bronze age barrows throughout the national park.
What should participants expect?
Volunteers can take part in practical conservation tasks such as cutting down invasive species, planting hedgerows, burning brash, surveying footpaths, and maintenance of our rights of way network.
Where does the activity take place?
The National Park collaborates with private landowners and our partner organisations that own land within the New Forest.
When does it take place?
Volunteer days take place on weekdays and occasional weekends throughout the year
Who can participate?
Anyone can participate in the volunteering activities. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
