My Mindful Self

Having a newborn is an exciting adventure, but one that can sometimes feel lonely.

Wellbeing walks for parents and their babies with My Mindful Self are designed to focus on you as a caregiver and support your wellbeing because we know that when we look after ourselves, we can support others better.

About My Mindful Self

Amy from My Mindful Self has a wealth of experience in environmental education that spans 15 years. Five of these have been spent as the Education and Youth Officer at the New Forest National Park Authority.

She has firsthand knowledge of the benefits that nature can have on wellbeing, and recently trained as a Forest Bathing Practioner. My Mindful Self builds on this experience and knowledge to offer weekly walks to new parents, caregivers, and their babies.

Activities available

My Mindful Self offers weekly meet ups for parents and their babies for a short walk in the Waterside area. This allows people to meet other parents and their babies, to talk to others in a similar life chapter, and enables new relationships to be fostered while using nature to support individual and group wellbeing.

What My Mindful Self participants can expect

  • Weekly wellbeing walks for parents and babies (aged 4 weeks to 1 year) that last approximately 45 minutes
  • A different location in the Waterside area each week for a route that follows buggy-friendly terrain
